So chinese new year has finally arrived in chengdu, last night someone in our complex had bought some huge fireworks and set them off so that we on our top floor porch could watch them explode practically above our heads, it was quite cool, somebody else took pictures so I'm going to see if I can either get them to send them to me or else get them now so I can post them on my next blog update. Ok and also, I while ago I found out that people had been leaving comments on my blog, not actually reading my own blog I didn't realize that till not too long ago so I'm now responding to my commenters. To the Wrights, I swear each opportunity I've had to eat western style was purely forced on me by the unacclimated waiguoren I hang out with, the Mickey Ds was also not my idea, I was innocently playing wii with my buddy here and his mom brought everybody back bigmacs haha. Also I tried out the meiguoren mime act, and did really well, unfortunatly I only made equevelent to 5 dollars US in one week work haha, just kidding, though I am a big clown, I'm too much of a coward to don the makeup and monochromatic outfit and pretend to be in boxes and stuff. But yeah its been fun, I'm sure you guys will have fun when we're all here together! To the Morts, yes my height and my being white makes most people look twice, and my roommates are quite all right, one of them is getting married in Tailand soon though so it'll just be me and nori for a while, but its cool cauese nori is the bomb. To Erin, Being surrounded by the language and culture is pretty awesome, its kind of weird though, I got told by a cabbie the other day that my sichuanese is very good, the only problem was I thought I was speaking mandarin haha, also the food is the bomb, so so so spicy and the delivery is free so once chinese new year is over and resturants open back up its chaoshou and fried rice for lunch again, oh yeah and people do try out their english on me alot, by yelling hello out the car window or saying hello and running off or other fun weird english words. And for the weird signs you see some and its pretty funny when you do, but they aren't that frequent though, more frequent is very very very poor english subtitles on the bootleg dvds, quite funny. To everyone else that posted comments, next time post your comment on the form of a question and I'll respond.... eventually, don't hold me to it though.. cause its quite hectic here, can't always get on the internet either so... oh well, I'm going to try to upload some pictures of stuff. Oh, yeah, I got a bike!!! its pretty sweet, I'm going to try to upload some pictures of that too, but not tonight cause I've not yet taken any of it. ok, so that being that and woooooaaaaahhhhh that was a huge firework thhat just exploaded next to my window. And this is strange, thirty seconds of no noise, its crazy...oh well anotherjust boomed. and I'm outta here

Cool! Thanks for that. Have fun with the fireworks. :P
